Handyman/handywoman wanted
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our valued handyman, Ton, will soon be retiring. So we're looking for a skilled handyman or handywoman who can carry out small maintenance jobs at our club on a regular basis.
As our handyman/handywoman, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing all sorts of things within our community. This includes, for example, solving minor technical problems, repairing broken facilities and carrying out general maintenance work.

Are you good with your hands, proactive and experienced in odd jobs and repairs? Then we're looking for you! We value someone who is reliable, works well with others and has an eye for detail.
If you're interested in this role, please send your CV and a short cover letter to receptie@blackandwhitebreda.nl
Member in the spotlight: Ge Keurentjes
Ge Keurentjes is a warm, sociable presence in the classes at Black & White Community. Not only does he love a chat with Gerard, Paul and Jeroen, but we always notice that everyone standing near him happily joins in the conversation. Despite all the chatting, of course, the training still gets done properly.
Ge Keurentjes isn't only active in the workout classes at Black & White Community; he also takes part in the yoga classes. He loves to relax and stretch during yin yoga, where he can truly unwind. It has become an important part of his weekly routine and helps him bring his body and mind into balance. Ge appreciates the variety of activities Black & White Community offers, which allows him both to be active and to find moments of relaxation.
Ge has been training at Black & White Community since the very beginning, even at the old location where it all started, around 20 years ago. It was the first gym he ever trained at, and he has never left. In the early days he mainly did Spinning classes, but he has made his routine more and more varied with power and yoga classes.
What he appreciates most about Black & White Community is the friendly atmosphere. Unlike gyms where people mostly train on their own and there's little social contact, it's really social here, and you get to know your fellow members by training together in group classes. His favourite memories are the regular Saturday mornings when he trained with the same group, after which they would get their breath back and catch up together over tea and a sandwich. “Black & White Community is a lovely combination of sport and socialising, which makes it fun to come here.”
His advice for new members and anyone thinking about joining: “Come and try the combination of sport and good company – that's what makes it fun to keep coming back.”

Christmas market on 7 December
On Thursday 7 December from 18.00 to 22.00 we're organising a special Christmas market for you. The evening is all about good company and togetherness, with a range of stalls where you can buy lovely Christmas presents. Alongside the regular classes, we've also planned a few extra activities, such as a Cacao Ceremony with InnerEssence Journey, a Yoga Nidra class and a special Xmas Spinning session. These activities are more elaborate than usual and come with festive decorations. You can sign up for the classes via the app, and for the cacao ceremony via our webshop. Sign up in good time, as places are limited.
As a community, we've also set up a wonderful initiative to send some extra light and love to elderly people in care homes in Breda over the festive season. We're going to write Christmas cards for these older residents, to help combat loneliness and give them a warm feeling. We'd like to collect as many Christmas cards as possible, so everyone is warmly invited to join in. Write a lovely message, draw a cheerful picture or make something fun. All contributions are welcome. Together we can make a difference and spread light and love over the festive season. We'll provide the Christmas cards and materials on the evening.
Together we can make sure this Christmas market isn't just a lovely evening, but one that also has a positive impact on others.

We hope to see you all at this special evening!

Please change your shoes
With autumn in full swing and all the rainy weather, we'd like to ask you not to wear outdoor shoes while training. This is very important for both hygiene and safety, as otherwise the floors can get wet. We want to keep our studios clean and offer a safe environment for everyone. So we kindly ask you to change your shoes before you go into class.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
